Gateway-Configuration

Load the device credentials DEVEUI, APPEUI (JOINEUI) and APPKEY supplied with the MLRTPS into your gateway.
Questions about device credentials can be sent directly to devicecredentials@micropelt.com.

2.

Installation

The MLRTPS is delivered with the battery disconnected.

Mount the back plate on the wall, connect the battery on the MLRTPS and attach the housing onto the back plate.

3.

Activation and operation

When the battery is first connected, the MLRTPS will immediately activate and send a Join Request to the gateway (see picture).

  1. First acoustic signal (and 1x LED): confirms successful activation.

  2. Double acoustic signal (and 2x LED): confirms successful connection join to the gateway.

Normal operation: For the first 5 minutes after activation the device will communicate every 10 seconds. Thereafter the device communicates in a fixed radio communication interval (5 minutes).

Failure: Long acoustic signals indicate failed operations.
Remark join failure: Gateway or device credentials not configured Multitech MTCAP Gateway.
Repeat the process with 4. RESET

4.

Device RESET

To perform the RESET, hold the magnetic pen on the “no change” / “default” marking on the product’s cover for five seconds (tone signal and 1x LED). The MLRTPS restarts and attempts to join to the gateway
