MVA009 Quickstart Guide

1.

MANUAL TEACH-IN

Set room controller to teach-in mode. (Refer to user guide of the room controller).
Set EnOcean EEP A5-20-06
(Teach-in through ReMan/ReCom: Datasheet, Installation Signal Remote Commissioning)

2.

TEACH-IN

Turn the dial to the left or right end stop up to 1x green LED, then turn to the opposite stop and release it again immediately.

1x green LED = Teach telegram has been sent.
1x green LED = Successful teach- in
3x red LED = Error, teach-in failed (Check gateway teach mode and/or repeat procedure)

3.

INSTALLATION AND REFERENCE RUN

Mount the device on the M30x1,5 valve body, turn dial to the left or right to the end position to short press the button. The MVA executes a reference run and enters normal operation.

During the first 30 minutes, the MVA009 sends in a two-minute interval. After 30 minutes, the radio interval follows the setting transmitted by the room controller. If no room controller is available, the drive operates in auto mode.

4.

SETPOINT ADJUSTMENT

Turn the dial left for 1 or up to 5 times unit end position: Every successful actuation will decrease the target temperature by 1°C. The right direction will increase the target temperature accordingly.

1– 5 tone signals = success
Each tone signal corresponds to an increase or decrease of 1 °C
2x red flashing = error

5.

ADDITIONAL THINGS TO KNOW

  • Connection nut M30 x 1.5; adapters are available for many other valve types https://micropelt.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MH/pages/16252981

  • Valve should be working freely

  • EnOcean Protokoll A5-20-01

  • Energy storage LiFePo4 320 mAh

  • Operating modes: Valve position % or Setpoint temperature °C

  • Freeze protection < 6°C (Valve side sensor)

  • The iTRV becomes active according to the telegram specification and asks for the room controller on the control position or setpoint temperature. The controller then adjusts the valve according to the following response of the room controller.

  • Summer mode: Radio communication interval increased from 10 minutes to 8 hours.

  • Unmounting: To remove the iTRV, turn the dial to left or right until its end position and hold for at least 5 seconds to 1x green LED, wait for motor to stop, then loosen knurled nut and remove iTRV.

  • Recharge battery:
    – Pull back cover straight off without turning
    – Connect micro USB cable.
    – Charging: Yellow LED lights up constantly (approx. 2 hours when battery is empty)
    – Battery charged: Green LED flashes every 3 seconds
    – Disconnect the cable and snap in the lid without turning. The device remains in its current state during and after charging (Active: Activation is not necessary. Off: Activation according to instructions.).
