Wattsense Gateway Setup and Instructions

  1. Login into the Wattsense console via the following address https://console.wattsense.com/login?redirect=/boxes-map

    1. If you don't have a login, please contact Wattsense Customer Support

  2. To add a new device, open the Configuration Wizard by navigating to the following

    1. Boxes → Configuration → Equipment → Add Equipment → Configuration Wizard

  3. Choose Select Equipment

  4. Choose micropelt - mlr_003 under equipment name

  5. Choose LORAWAN_V1_0 as the version

  6. Enter the Equipment Name, DEVEUI, APPEUI and APPKEY of the device and click Next

  7. Select all the properties that needs to be decoded and displayed. (It is recommended to select all the properties)

  8. Click Save Changes and click Send to Box to add the device to the Gateway

  9. Mount the device on the valve and activate it by holding the magnet on the “micropelt“ logo for 1 second

  10. The device will join the gateway and do a reference run (indicated by beeps and LED)

    1. Beep-Beep (2x RED LED) → Successfully Joined to Gateway

    2. Beep-Beep-Beep (§x RED LED) → Successfully finished Motor Reference Run

    3. Long Beep (Failed to Join to Gateway / Failed Motor Reference Run)

  11. Once the above step is completed, the decoded messages can be viewed in the Live Data Tab

  12. Raw Payload and Encoded Downlink Message options are also available in the Live Data Tab

  13. Use excel decoder tool to prepare the 6 byte downlink message

    1. MLR003 Payload Encoder/Decoder

  14. Paste the hex data into the encoded downlink message property in the format

    1. <hex_message>:<port>

  15. Click Save

  16. The device will receive the downlink in the next radio message cycle

 

If you are operating the device in “Set Point Ambient Temeperature” Mode, skip steps 13 to 16 and directly send the desired “Set Point“ value through the “Target Temperature“ property.
